Mentoring as a way of improving lives

To share her experience, both in the professional arena and in her personal life, Victoria Márquez-Mees Director of MICI was invited as a panelist to the event: “Advise I would give to my younger self”, which was organized by the Human Resource Department of the IDB Group as part of their Mentoring Program in which she has been participating as Mentor.

MICI Takes Part in a Virtual Forum

(Nov 1, 2017) As a guest participant of the Virtual Forum “Multilateral Banks: a Motor for Development?”, Victoria Marquez-Mees, Director of MICI, talked about what brings solidity to an accountability mechanism within the attributions of its mandate, and the role it plays in the Region’s development, as well as the challenges it faces, especially in relation to PPP operations. The Forum congregated members of civil society from different parts of the world and was organized by a number of organizations amongst which are: Asociación Ambiente y Sociedad, Coalición Regional por la Transparencia and the journalistic platform CONNECTAS.

Conflict Resolution Specialist Visits Washington

What’s in a conflict? How costly can it become? What is the value of dialogue as a tool to prevent and solve crisis? These and other matters were discussed by guest speaker Giselle Huamani, international specialist in conflict resolution in a conversation with officials from MICI, CAO and the Inspection Panel.

MICI’s External Advisory Group (GCE) Holds its First Meeting on June 21 and 22 in Washington, DC.

On June 21 and 22, the External Advisory Group (GCE) held its first meeting with the participation of seven of its eight founding members. The GCE is an advisory body for MICI that provides pro-bono support of the process of institutional strengthening in the areas of access, transparency, effectiveness and generation of learning.
