MICI-BO-2014-079- Drainage in the Municipalities of La Paz and El Alto (Bolivia) - Compliance Review Report published.

On February 14, 2018 the IDB Board of Executive Directors considered the Compliance Review Report for the “Drainage in the Municipalities of La Paz and El Alto” (BO-L1028) presented by MICI. For more information see the case registry file.

MICI-BID-CR-2017-0125 - Reventazon Hydroelectric Project- Request V (Costa Rica) – Elegibility Memorandum Published

On February 1, MICI determined that the Request was eligible because it met all the eligibility criteria established in the MICI Policy. The Request was transferred to the Consultation Phase following the request of the Requesters. For more information, see the case registry file.

MICI-BID-CH-2018-0129 (CH-L1136) and MICI-BID-AR-2018-0130 (AR-L1121) – two new complaints received.

In January 2018, MICI received two new complaints linked to Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) projects in Chile and Argentina. For more information, access the Public Registry of the MICI-IDB.

MICI-BID-CR-2017-0127- Reventazon Hydroelectric Power Project (Costa Rica) – New Complaint Received.

On October 19, 2017 MICI received a new complaint related to the "Reventazon Hydroelectric Power Project" (CR-L1049). On October 26, MICI notified the complainants about the closure of the administrative process as one of the exclusions established in paragraph 19 of the MICI Policy applied. MICI-PE-2015-0094- Rural Land Titling & Registration Project in Peru - Third Phase - (PE-L1026) – Consultation Phase Report Published.

On October 23, 2017, MICI published the Consultation Phase Report. The report highlights the results of the Consultation Phase, among them the agreements and the Follow-up Plan to monitor the compliance of the agreements. For more information, please access the registry file.

MICI-PE-2015-0094- Rural Land Titling & Registration Project in Peru - (PE-L1026) – Agreement signed by the Parties.

On August 16 and 17, 2017, after months of conversations, the Parties reached a successful agreement at a workshop facilitated by MICI. During the workshop, the Inter-Ethnic Association for the Development of the Peruvian Rainforest (AIDESEP), the Inter-American Development Bank (IADB) and the Execution Unit for Sectorial Proyect Management (MINAGRI) agreed on the progress made on the 2016 commitments and a follow-up plan for the pending actions.

MICI-BID-GU-2017-0126- Establishing Cadastral Registry & Strengthening Legal Certainty Protected Areas (Guatemala) – New Complaint Received.

On August 14, 2017 MICI received a new complaint related to the Project "Establishing Cadastral Registry & Strengthening Legal Certainty Protected Areas" (GU-L1014). On August 18, MICI notified the complainants that the complaint was not registered because they had not first attempted to contact Management to address their concerns. MICI-BID-CR-2017-0125- Reventazon Hydroelectric Power Project (Costa Rica) – New Complaint Received

On August 7, 2017, MICI received a new complaint related to “Reventazon Hydroelectric Power Project” (CR-L1049). On August 10th, MICI notified the Requesters and Bank Management that the Request was registered because it fulfilled all the necessary requirements for processing. MICI-BID-BR-2017-0123 and MICI-BID-EC-2017-0124 –Two new complaints received.

In July, MICI received two new complaints linked to Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) projects in Ecuador and Brazil.

MICI-CII-ME-2017-0122 – MICI receives the first Request about a project linked to the Inter-American Investment Corporation (IIC).

On July 25, 2017, MICI received the first complaint financed by the Inter-American Investment Corporation (IIC). This complaint was related to the "Grupo Corporativo Papelera S.A. de C.V." project in Mexico (ME4024A-01).
